With the captive bolt device model V2, the vole is not killed by a mechanical blow as in conventional traps, but through high gas pressure in a special cartridge, which lacerates the lungs in a flash and therefore kills the vole immediately and complies with animal humane requirements.

The loaded device is positioned with the barrel in the cleared vole passage, spanned and with the safety off. Even after a short time, the vole tries to re-close the passage because it does not like light or fresh air. The vole can even push earth in front of the barrel, which often causes failure in conventional traps.

With the W2, this does not matter. The high gas pressure in the special cartridge 9 x 17 yellow, with improved performance, kills the vole even through 5 cm of earth quickly and often shoots it up to 30 cm back into the passageway. A detailed instruction manual in enclosed with every device.
